15 months

My camera and I are in a huge fight...as you can see, it is winning the battle...I have tried everything- it is making some weird noised and taking pictures oddly, and when I load them on blogger they look right, but then load sideways. I've tried everything. I've tried rotating them sideways in my pictures before I load them, but to no avail. And I'm pretty computer savvy...and now VERY frustrated because I would love to do some fun posts, but not with sideways pictures! I wish there was a way to ROTATE your pics once you upload them in blogger...anyone know how?
Well, we had to cut our VACA a couple days short because of a root canal issue with me...so we stopped at my parent's house for the night to break up our trip home. We got to see Caleb one more time before he leaves for Australia...and he has also become my Juice Plus partner! We'll miss you Caleb!

My dad had his other knee replaced last week and is doing well...

But his home office has been moved to his bedroom...

Happy 15 months, Rody!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! To the father's in my life: my dad, my father-in-law, and my husband...
And, I've tried to get these photos to rotate correctly, but have determined it is a glitch in our camera...so, sorry about some of the sideways photos!
My dad and Rody

Rody and his daddy
My parents and their grandchildren...my dad read a verse on this morning that said "grandchildren are a crown to the elderly"...well, I don't think you're elderly, but we get the verse!

Randy's dad and Rody
I've been reading some statistics on children who grew up in homes without their father...and it is so sad...the % of fatherless children are rising and the outcome is greater for kids like that in dropout rates, going to jail, doing drugs, committing suicide, etc...
I wanted to say a big THANK YOU today to my dad and Randy's dad who have been faithful to their wives AND their children for many years...my parents going on 39 years of marriage and Randy's parents going on 30 years of marriage. What an incredible testimony to your lineage of grandchildren you have/will have....God is pleased and I am thankful!!!
We love you!

Fripp Island: Part I

Where is Fripp Island? It is about 30 minutes north of Hilton Head and is the outermost island of the southern S.C islands
It is also a nature preserve with deer everywhere...we literally had 3 or 4 deer the first night at the house and we got to touch them, etc....

Here is a deer we came across on our bike ride

Swinging with Kylie

And I'm on a foreign computer, so I flipped these pics to the right way, but they still loaded sideways...oh well!

Our view of the beach from the house...we are right on the beach...beautiful! This house is the home of my parent's friends...and they generously let us stay here for 2 weeks...it is amazing! And Fripp is a little island of paradise!

Some ocean time...Rody loves the beach...he played in the sand for 2 hours on Saturday morning...

Having fun

Riding bikes...

Not sure how often we can update...but we're relaxing and having fun!

And we're off

We are leaving Friday morning to head to Fripp Island, SC for a week with my (Katie's) family. Then, we will directly drive 4 hours north to Myrtle Beach, SC for 4 days with Randy's family. I'm not sure about our internet access, so updates may or may not come. If you don't hear from us before hand, then we will definitely update at the end of June!

Didn't bring my camera!

Rody and I spent some time at my parent's home this week-- it was a fun little trip! However, I forgot my camera...I hate that! But, here are two from my parent's camera...
We got to hang out with Peyton, Ian, and Eve everyday...so fun!
Here is Eve and Rody

And Peyton and I with our babes...

And on Saturday, Randy met us at Laurin's for a fun-filled day of eating, playing corn hole, and swimming...and IF I had brought my camera, you would have seen pictures of things like:
Rody eating his first watermelon
Everyone getting their corn hole on
Swimming and sliding down slides
All my fun friends....
Note to self- don't forget your camera next time!

Day at Dollywood

We took a spontanious trip up to Dollywood last weekend and had a wondeful time. I can hardly look at these pics...yes, this is Rody- riding a ride BY HIMSELF!!! We tried to squeeze in the back, but it didn't work, so he rode by himself. I cried...really

Nice family shot..after a rough night. I will ALWAYS travel with a fan now...or make sure there will be one where we go...Rody- our 12 hours sleeper did not fall asleep until 11pm and woke up at 7am...yikes!!

Yes, we caved about bought a "leash". It actually worked really well and allowed us to let Rody walk around without chasing him all over "tarnation" (thanks, Kristy!)

And our first time on the carousel...so fun!

I rode with him on his first official ride..the ducks...he liked pushing the button that made noise!

Rody is a JUICE PLUS baby!

This product is amazing. My parents have been taking it for 10 or so years and I took it while in high school and some college...and I started taking it again when I found out I was pregnant with Rody. Now that I am trying to feed my toddler lots of fruits and veggies, I find it very challenging. Why are fruits and veggies so good for you? Some main things:
1) They contain phytonutrients
2) Phytonutrients help establish a healthy immune system
3) They also help fight disease
4) They combat free radicals in your body which cause cancer
5) and they also can repair damaged DNA!
If you're like me, you struggle to get your toddler to eat many fruits and veggies for several reasons- maybe they don't like it, or they are too expensive, etc...
When what you SHOULD eat and what you DO eat are different, then there's JUICE PLUS! I know that I struggle to eat a variety of fruits and veggies in my own diet as well..
The incredible thing about JP is that is a WHOLE FOOD based supplement (not like a daily vitamin)...it is actually the powder of 17 different fruits and veggies that have been juiced in a capsule form....you are basically getting all the nutrients out of the fruit/veggies in these capsules.
There has been so much extensive scientific research on this product as well...it is one of the most researched supplements and has been published in many of the prestigious medical journals...
some research includes PREGNANCY research and a children's health study...Have you heard of Dr. Sears? He has written many books--he is a huge advocate of JP and promotes it in his office (he is a pediatrician)...He states that he sees a world a difference between children who do and don't take JP...
The pregnancy research is astounding. That is why I started taking it again when I was pregnant...and Rody got all those phytonutrients from me during critial stages of his development--that is awesome!
I just ordered Rody some of the kids "gummies" of Juice plus that he will take daily- a fruit gummy and then a veggie gummy.
I believe in this product and if you want to know more about it or how you can get started taking JP, then leave me a comment with your email address and I will get back to you!!

And I have more time now?

But I can't seem to keep up with my blogging...I'll try to do better...for those of you that care! We have been busy taking walks, going to the pool, and generally just having a good old time!

Hope you're having a blessed day!
