Doctor's visit pics and video

Here are some pics from our visit to the doctor's office. Rody was in such a good mood!

Funny video...he has started to sort of "chew" on his tongue in the side of his mouth the last couple of days. We got him in action here!

4 month STATS

So, stats are important because we're athletes, you know?
Rody is 17lbs. 10oz and 25 7/8 inches long (so basically 26 inches).
I won the bet on height and Randy won the bet on weight.
He is in the 90% for weight and 85% for height...his head is a normal circumference.

He laughed and cooed at the nurses and doctor...loved every minute of it. He didn't cry this much with the shots (thankfully)....We may start on rice cereal once a day, but haven't decided on that completely yet!

4 Months Old Today!

Rody is 4 months old today! We go to his 4 month well check on Tuesday. My guess is that he is around 17lbs and about 25 inches long...I'll let you know!

After his bath tonight...peek-a-boo...I see you!

Daddy...look at all my fat rolls!
Hilarious- just chilling out on the boppy during tummy time
Look at those blue eyes!
We went to Ringgold, Ga this week to pick our own blueberries. It was called "park and pick". You could pick a gallon for $6. We (am I mean Randy) picked for about 2.5 hours until we got a gallon. I wanted to stop after an hour and the weather turned, but Randy doesn't stop something until it's done. Me, on the other hand, has no problem stopping something once I've started...it is sort of my "trademark".

Rody liked to pull on the leaves while I tried to pick the blueberries
As you can see, it was a race against time
Loving him some baby einstein time

A Cool July Morning

I go back to work in 3 weeks. One of the things I will miss when I go back is this:
Morning walks with my little man!
I woke up today and it was surprisingly cool! So, we got out the stroller and did our 45 minute hilly neighborhood walk...which I still sweated like a banchy during...but it was still cool!
Rody took a little nap and when we got home I took some pics to show the blogger world!

Here we are after our walk...
Rody loves to hang in his stroller- anything outside and he is happy!
Sweet little man!

Have you thanked the Lord for your blessings today?

Christmas in July

**More new posts below**
Our church is contributing to "Operation Shoebox" for children in Guatemala (our church is sending a mission team there in October).
Rody and I had a "chat" (smile) and he decided that he was blessed with so many infant items that he couldn't even use them all, so he wanted to send some to a little infant boy in South America.
I am so proud of Rody's giving heart...we want to be generous givers and want to teach Rody to be as well. The Lord is so good to us and meets all of our needs. We want to give back in any way we can.
Rody praying for the little boy that will receive this box

Merry Christmas!

Little Slugger

We had a great day yesterday. Rody is wearing 6-9 month outfits now, so lots of new things to wear. Here is his "daddy's little slugger outfit".

Love that face!
The night ended with Randy reading Goodnight Moon to Rody. It was precious!

Rody loves to scream! (Videos to prove it)

These days Rody loves to scream...in joy and sorrow! His happy screams are so funny...we have two videos below to demonstrate this.
He gets bigger and more interactive each day! We just love him so much.

I don't need no stinkin paci!

Here is a video of Rody playing on the floor

This is a video of Rody playing in his baby einstein toy

Such a crazy little man

Waking up the echos

**2 new posts!**
So, since we were in SC, we decided to go home via ATL so we could see my traveling parents who have been in Europe for a month!
Papa had a present for Rody-a ND jersey- size 2T and it was so adorable!
We went swimming in their pool and again Rody fell asleep
Grandma Kia
my goodness- I need to learn how to organize my pictures better on blogger because this is so out of order! Anyways, here is Rody in a 9month sleeper...I've been squeezing him in 3-6 months for way to long- I guess I'm in denial....
I love the footies
Happy to see grandma!
Watch out Coach Weis...you can recruit me in 17 years!
Sorry, Randy, it looks like Rody likes ND as well...
We were fortunate enough to be in town the same time as Rody's Great Great Uncle Ray (Father Ray as we call him). This is Katie's grandmother's little brother
So cute!
Whew...next post tells you about SC. Enjoy! We are home now and I have 3.5 more weeks till school starts...just enjoying every day, every smile, every feeding, every fussy moment, every precious moment!

Baby and a Bobcat

So we took a last minute trip to SC so Randy could clear off his parent's land with a bobcat. He worked for 3.5 days straight- about 40 total hours on this. And he has poison ivy now :)
Anyways, it was a fun visit. We went to Lake Lure for the day on Saturday and got to see some old church friends as well. Enjoy the pics!

Looks like he is having too much fun driving this thing. And yes, I did drive it some to, but I was not a big fan!
We went to Bible study Saturday night with some friends from their old church. Here they are meeting Rody for the first time.
Truth and Ryan
Oops...my photos got a little out of order! Oh well...here is Rody at Lake Lure...love these next few pics!
how adorable is this?
so smoochable!
Think this is my favorite picture to date of Rody and his mommy!

Little Man, Big Football

We had a rough night, but as usual, Rody was just perky and great in the morning! I am exhausted, but was re-energized when I noticed Rody playing with this big football. I had set him down in the chair and the football happened to be in it. He was very intrigued and I got some great shots!

Here is the "don't mess with me" face
Ok...not a football pic- the next two are just some shots from last night

So sweet!
I think this one is my favorite!
He looks too kind to tackle somebody at this point...maybe he'll be a quarterback!
