Gatlinburg

Our "Barnett Christmas Vacation" took us to Gatlinburg next...
We went to our annual Dollywood Christmas with the festive lights and good food....
Rody practicing his clapping

And doing what he does best...sleep! Look at those lashes...don't be jealous
Ford, Stephanie, Katie, Randy, Debbie, and Ray...
There were over 5million lights throughout the park...absolutely beautiful, but pictures couldn't quite capture it!

The scrambler...

What do you get when two adults ride the "scrambler" and try to take a picture?
Well, wonder no more....

A good time was had by all

Rody's first Christmas

First of all, I wanted to apologize for not updating for a couple of weeks! I know it is annoying when you don't update on a regular basis, so please don't blacklist me :)
We have been on the road for almost 2 weeks, having driven way too many hours in the car, and have slept in 4 different places! Rody is adjusting like a champ (thankfully)!
Our "Barnett Christmas Vacation" began in North Carolina at my sister Molly's house.
It was so much fun spending Christmas with her family and our parents...we had a wonderful time!

Here is my sister Molly

I think she is so pretty! and she taught me how to make homemade cinnamon rolls...and also showed off by making her own biscuits and gravy...I have a lot to live up to!

Chrismas morning...

Rody does not let many people rock him...grandma kia was an exception
I've been pumping and feeding via a bottle some, so other people get to feed Rody too!
Aunt Sandy

Like father, like son...camo is a favorite
Great picture of all of the cousins...Kaitlyn, Maggie (the dog), Karson, Rody, Kylie

Hilarious....this picture is entitled "One addict starting another addict"
My fun brother in law, Jason...thanks for the great food...deer biscuits, ribs, yum, yum!
Kaitlyn loved to help care for Rody!

Karson being, well, Karson
Molly...can I just say how much I love my sisters? I hate that Maggie was not with us, but it was sure special being with Molly!
Kylie teaching Rody piano...

We had a touch of the stomach bug, but with much prayer, the Lord really spared many of us from getting what my dad had. Thanks for the great time Molly and Jason! We love and miss you...

Christmas Eve

Just a little update...
We are at my sister's house in NC with my parents....we are having a good time, but a couple of us have been hit with a bit of the stomach bug. First, it hit my dad on Monday night and then it hit me on Tuesday night..not fun.

We are enjoying seeing Rody play with his cousins and say "doggie..." for real, he says "doggie" at their black dog, Maggie. He gets so excited and will run towards her in his walker and just squeal with delight...we have it on video to document.

It is Rody's first Christmas tomorrow and we are so excited to be celebrating with family!

Pics to come later...

Hair

Does this face look like the face of a baby who slept all night last night??
Does it??
It better not because he didn't...a rough night to say the least--makes me glad that we don't have rough nights very often...
But, if blood curling screams at the top of these precious lungs at 1am-2am and again at 6:30am sound like something you'd like to partake in, then you missed the party last night...big time...
nevertheless, here is his sweet face this morning smiling at me as I picked him up from his crib...and I forgot *almost* about last night
Oohh..I got a hair cut...my usual "short do", but this time my sides are angled...
Here's the back...

Gotta feed the little monster some oatmeal before he eats my toes as
we speak!

Fun Saturday

We headed up to Knoxville to go to the Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World...so Randy could shop and Rody could see Santa.
Conveniently, Randy's parents were up that way on a little vacation, so they came to meet us for a few hours!
We ate an early dinner at the good old Cracker Barrell..

What a great price on some Rody...
We shopped around the store for a few hours waiting for our turn at Santa...

As you can see, we decided to be a little festive...
And a great time was had by all!
See post below for a "name that photo contest"...you won't want to miss it!

Blog worthy

Survival word of the day: BARRICADE!
Sometimes those little boogers still get through...

Or get stuck....

At least he's happy being stuck...or maybe he doesn't know he stuck...

This is how I can clean up the kitchen at night....
Our little man...
Getting so good at a sippy cup

Still walking behind toys...
Today is a happy day for 2 reasons:
1) I have 25 days off of work...My first day off tomorrow and I don't go back until January 6th! I am totally pumped to just be a "mommy"/ housewife, etc..
2) We went to get turkey and dressin' at cracker barrell tonight and when we went to checkout, our bill was only $10...it was friends/family night and they gave us 45% off!
