Monday Morning Cuteness!

I love mornings with Rody! He is usually in a good mood and loves to kick his legs and arms while trying his best to talk to me. He was just too cute this morning to not take some pics and post. I am getting closer to getting shots when he is smiling...so cute!

Okay...now as I finish this post, he is getting a little fussy....not bad. He probably needs his diaper changed and a paci for a while...guess I'll go be a mom!

Quick Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Barnett came in for a quick visit Friday/Saturday. We enjoyed seeing them! Tonight before they left we were taking some pictures outside. It was great weather and Rody was hamming it up for the camera. So much fun!

I think he is enjoying this. We love him so much!

4 weeks old!

Rody is 4 weeks old today! We can't believe it. He is growing everyday and trying to find his voice a little bit...as you can see in my first video upload below! Enjoy...

Funny Faces

As I was looking through pictures to post of my parent's with Rody, I came across a few with some funny faces. I thought I would blog those.

It is hard to see here, but Rody totally has his eyes crossed...

Our sweet baby is a 10 pounder now! You can definitely see it in his face and double/triple chins!

Nice Papa...
Isn't it funny how adults automatically make silly faces at babies and their voices get really high pitched? I'm convinced this is totally uncontrollable- it is an adult reflex and will eventually "turn off" once baby gets older...kinda like babies have certain reflexes for the first few months of their lives...but enough of the science lesson

Rody starting to "talk" and interact with us more. He grows so much everyday!
I think my baby is getting so big...so seeing pictures of Rody against the backdrop of my father or his hands is a nice reminder that he IS just a little guy!

Rody meets his big Papa

Papa has been traveling internationally and nationally constantly for about a month...Rody was very excited to meet him!

My mom says that my dad has a way with babies...he puts them and himself to sleep!

Here is Grandma Kia doing what she was born to do...rocking babies to sleep!

Here we are meeting for the first time...Rody just had a blow out diaper- the kind where you have to change clothes too!

Tummy time and nap time

Rody holds his head up now for increments around 30 or so seconds. He seems to grow everytime he gets up in the morning. I just can't believe it. We measured him a couple of nights ago and he is already 23 inches in length...I wonder what he weighs right now!

I put him on the boppy on his tummy to see how he would do. He liked it for a little while!

I went to run some errands the other day and when I came home, this is what I saw. How sweet...it was just a precious moment!

Bath Time

Rody took his first official bath tonight! He had not been a big fan of the sponge baths up until this point, so we were reluctant. However, he loved it! Once he got in the water and got used to it, he just sat there and didn't cry at all! We kinda let him soak a little bit since he enjoyed it so much.

"I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost". Not really at this point, but some day we pray Rody will commit his life to Christ and get baptized for real!
