Rody is getting big!

Randy's family came up for the weekend! They noticed how big he was getting, as you can see in the pictures below. Enjoy!

Rody loves to sleep during the day...not so much at night!

This picture was probably around 2am...he likes to stay up and help daddy on his thesis!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Happy Birthday Katie~ This past April 10th Katie celebrated her 29th birthday! As my friend Katie calls it, it is her "29 forever" birthday...can't believe it. Randy surprised Katie with a cake and some of our neighbors over to enjoy it

Katie's best early birthday present...Rody! What a fun little guy...wide eyed here.

And then, asleep...most of the day, but not most of the night...we need to remedy this...FAST!

Happy 29 year old mommy!

Craft Day!

Grandma Kia and Rody

We did some crafts today! We got some non toxic, washable paint and we painted Rody's feet. We then stamped his feet on some card stock...which we are going to use for birth announcements and thank you cards.
Rody is a trooper! He actually fell asleep during this!

Happy Monday!

Our friends Mike and Adrienne (with little girl Madeleine) came by to see Rody on Saturday night!

Grandma Kia is back! Thank goodness...I need my mommy right now!
Rody is holding his head up like such a big boy
I bet you'd never know Rody had been crying for 30 minutes prior to this photo!
Sweet baby boy!
Not so happy times!
Randy tried out the moby wrap today. It worked for a little while!

Friday

Please disregard my double chin...it was a bad angle!

Rody and I enjoying a little cat nap together on the couch!
Some daddy time! We put Rody on his chest and he was trying to hold his head up and inch his way to Daddy's face...it was amazing! We already are seeing him grow!

Family time

We are enjoying our Rody time! It is fun getting to know him and learning how to care for him...he is such a blessing and gift from the Lord!

My friend Katie sent me this Moby wrap. My mom helped me put it on yesterday before she left. Rody seemed to enjoy it! It is really comfortable and I hope to wear it often...thanks, Katie!

Daddy enjoys his time with Rody as well!

Rody found his fingers!

Grandma Kia is here! She came into town today for a couple of days. She cooked dinner for us tonight and has helped me get some things organized. Funny story...we decided to take Rody for his first walk tonight around Lee University as Randy was playing in a softball game. We got all geared up, got in the stoller, started to walk (like 10 minutes) and it starts to rain! I was so nervous...here I am taking my baby out on his first walk and it starts raining! Needless to say, we made it to the car before it got really bad. It was a lot of work for just a 10 minute walk!

Rody found his fingers today! He was in the boppy as my mom was making dinner! We got some great shots of him sucking on them!

Our first dinner as a family!

Rody's first doctors appointment

We took Rody to his first doctor appointment today. It was quite an adventure seeing as it was the first time I have been in a car since Thursday! We had a good appointment. He weighed in at 8lbs 10 ounces, so he has only lost 1 ounce since birth. Our doctor is very kind and we had a great experience overall! Enjoy the pics...

Here is Rody in his boppy before we get him in the car seat
He gets cuter every day!

Well, I am going to take a nap as Rody is napping! It is a challenge getting used to the lack of sleep...but Rody is sleeping some good stretches through the night--some a little over 3 hours between feedings. He is such a wonderful gift from the Lord and we love him SO much!
